Non-Profit campaign for COVID Protection: safe and secure use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
COVID protection is one of the essential parts in protecting our healthcare workers and to keep up the care for all COVID-19 patients in need.
This Non-profit campaign has been brought to life to foster and maintain the health of all healthcare workers by promoting the safe and secure use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) against Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2).

However, your safety and health are are important to sustain our healthcare systems and to enable us to provide the necessary care to everyone in need. Although many countries have already installed all technical aspects to raise capacities over the course of 2020, the true bottleneck shows to maintain the work force of specialists able to care for COVID-19 patients – This is true for hospital ICU’s and normal wards, as well as for retirement homes and many other relevant institutions.
What will you learn?
To account for the current situation, we designed the E-learning courses for deeper understanding of the printout materials. First, to even reach a deeper understanding of the recommended steps for all healthcare professionals involved in the care of COVID-19 patients and everyone involved in risk-associated behaviours (such as taking test samples) is beneficial. Second, the online tutorials will enable you to understand the background about the safe use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for COVID protection in addition to the printout materials.
After completion of the courses, you will have learned about:
- relevant infection routes of SARS-CoV-2
- indications of hand hygiene
- individual steps of safe hand hygiene
- indications for PPE use
- recommended steps of safe donning and doffing of PPE

Why this campaign?
We have noticed that a majority of picture material available for doffing and donning personal protective equipment is rather unclear. The imagery of many procedure-sheets does not clearly emphasize the really important details of the actions.
Picture imagery can explain and emphasize certain actions quite well and often better than words can describe. Thus, we want to use the power of the picture to intuitively convey the steps that keep you from getting contaminated. This campaign provides all materials completely free to everyone in need for those to help avoiding mistakes and contamination regarding PPE usage.
